Round Rings come in a variety of sizes and multi-ring configurations. You can get a standard 3 ring, or a 6 ring memo style. There are many to choose from with and without the booster mechanism to help open and close the ring. A round ring mechanism usually takes two curved sheet lifters.
Measure horizontally- inside of the ring at the widest point, parallel to flat open cover. Capacities are ¼” to ½” increments, may be equal to or up to 1/8” greater than actual capacity. For number of sheets per capacity, see sheets per inch chart.
The “D” ring metal is named for It’s shape; it comes in a Straight D and Angle D. Which style is based solely on preference? D rings are mounted on the inside back cover of a binder and come with and without boosters. A D ring used without a lifter as well; a second lifter can be added and is again, based on preference.
Measure the inside dimension of the straight part of the “D” (see arrow). D option may not be available for all capacities.
