CALENDAR TINNING
THE PROCESS OF REINFORCING THE TOP AND/OR BOTTOM EDGES OF A HANGING CALENDAR
Calendar tinning is the process of reinforcing the top and/or bottom edges of a hanging calendar with a metal strip, that is wrapped and crimped firmly to the sheet. An optional hanger can be applied to the top edge for hanging. This process prevents the corners and edges from curling and helps the calendar to hang flat.
Unified Packaging can apply the calendar tinning strip to single or multiple sheet calendars as well as posters, maps, wall charts, and other printed material, from 8 1/2″ to 30” in width. The tinning strips come in black, gold, gray, red, blue, and white finish. This is a very attractive and inexpensive way to edge bind and hang your printed sheets.
